pick a favourite i have nothing futher to write other then that im obsessed about these two bands (nuts yep). so if you ignore this i can understand that..
but anyway fun poll that I feel are very important to me so I can sleep calmly at night , so take this poll with some seriousity but it is not wortd defining poll but very close to something that can be defining for my sanity |

@ Wilytank--- this is much more logical since both bands are very similar in the sence they are both known to be very eclectic, and hard to pinhole to one spesific gener. It is also well known that both band hell god standards and they stick out of the branch becouse they write good songs, and are backed by a drummer who is much more technicaly skilled that gives the bands a certain creative boost. it is also based on two lead guitarist, Cornell -Thayll in Soundgarden and HInds - Kellhier in Mastodon.
also Soundgarden have certain influence on sludge metal, which leads them to be influential on Mastodons roots (not as clear as Melvins and Neurosis but it is ther) |

Not really too similar, but Id have to go with Soundgarden as I never really liked Mastodon pre Crack The Skye.

I really love both bands, however I have been listening to Soundgarden for longer, so the sentimental value sort of puts me at a bias.

Definitely Mastadon! Sound Garden are cool but there is no comparison really. Even their names don't compare. Mastadon all the way.

As much as I like everything Mastodon has put out so far, none of their albums really grab me like Badmotorfinger and Superunknown. Mastodon has the better discography, Soundgarden has the better peak. I'll go with Soundgarden.
