I guess receiving promos pretty much satisfies my needs because I dont purchase anything near that a year. Well unless I get some exceptional offers, which was the case last year when I purched the 67 CDs from my local library.

Yeah, back in the day when we got physical promos, I could barely keep up with everything I was getting....ah, the glory days.

Im much more selective today, as there are now many ways of listening to samples of new albums before purchase than was the case before the internet explosion in the mid- to late nineties.

That's only physical releases btw, with digital its just short of 100 Tongue

Its why I rarely add anything here.

My favourite and most prized purchase would easily be the band pressing of Diamond Head's debut "Lightning To The Nations" (vinyl obviously). The pressing was limited to 1000 and the master tapes lost.

The record that reputedly launched a number of band's careers, most notably Metallica.

Don't get me wrong I'm not bigging myself up or anything. It's just my way. I don't count promos, I like to have the original in my collection.

I'm just very very fortunate to be able to do so.

I don't keep track of how many CD's and LP's I buy, but it's gotta be a lot so far this year. I've gotten lots of really cheap used vinyl and CD's in recent memory.

I get a lot of physical and digital promos from SoT, so that usually satisfies my craving for buying 'new' releases.

I've slowed down a lot after xmas, I'd say I'm at less than 20, but only because I was on a real cd bender since September and I need to bloody stop.

From Amazon:

Something of an impulse buy (especially on an online order), but it was $6.00 (shipping included), so I thought why not?  I like this album enough.  It's Origin's first really good album.
