It is amazing how eclectic (and consistently excellent) his films are. One of my favorite (if not my absolute favorite) directors. |

Does Antonio Banderas actually act in this movie?
Or just go through the motions of acting?

This film, by the same director of the awesome Gattaca:
Not so good as Gattaca, but still very interesting and creative.

It's weird as hell, but I enjoyed it a lot.
That was my first foray into Tarkovsky, I'll have to get some more of his films Edited by Triceratopsoil - 10 Mar 2012 at 12:10pm |

Ive tried a couple of times, but animated "serious" movies just dont move me. I just cant seem to disregard the fact that its an animation and not "real" people acting.

Seriously, man, I'm sorry for you. And this film was directed by Satoshi Kon, a genius of animation. Unfortunately deceased

...well I like the animated parts in Kill Bill, so animation isnt completely lost on me. I wouldnt watch a full movie of that stuff though.

That's unfortunate, there's lots of amazing animated movies.
