A Bullet for My...

So what does everyone think of A Bullet for My Valentine? They are clearly a very commercial band, but I just caught a live performance of them (a video of one), and I gotta say, f****n' tight performance! Honestly reminded me of old-school Metallica concerts.

Not super familiar with their music, but I was impressed with their playing, and their tunes definitely rocked live, even though they aren't my usual cup o' tea!

I only ever heard two songs, one was good enough, one was a bit too cheesy for me but not outright objectionable or anything. I think they're like Limp Bizkit or Posion or whatever, in that people from the generation before think they aren't heavy or true enough, but they work really well if you are getting into the music for the first time. 

I think you're right kingcrimsonprog. I just listened to a bunch of their music and they are definitely a great gateway band for people just getting into metal. 

A terrible band.

I don't really consider them Metal and don't like them .... but I'm old   I think Kingcrimsonprog is spot on with his
assessment and every generation has their faves which might lead them to explore further.

Never really gotten into nu metal. Only nu metal bands I really like are Linkin Park, most Korn, I like a few Papa Roach and Puddle of Mudd songs....

As for BFMV though, they're more just straight mallcore which is not my thing.

This is the single off their upcoming album .this band did put some decent material on their first 2 then fever became a little mainstream but was alright. and this is now what they have become. They are now some radio friendly rock band that hardly uses solos. pure bull shit. they didn't have a solo in this song. god i wonder why i used to like this band
