I watched this last night with my sister:

The Birds (1963)

I didn't like it quite as much as a few other Hitchcock masterpieces (I especially thought the ending wasn't too satisfying), but it's definitely a great classic film IMO. Thumbs Up

I just finished watching this one:

The Unborn (2009)

For a movie with as bad a reputation as this one, I actually thought it was pretty decent. The acting ranges from good to awful and the story is as cliched as anything, but it's an entertaining and pretty suspenseful film. Though I wouldn't recommend it to most people, I didn't think it was bad at all.

I should go watch this movie soon.  Hell yes, it's got Chief O'Brien in it! Cool

It's nearly 1:30 in the morning, and I just finished watching this while alone in my dark bedroom...

The Exorcist (1973)

I rarely get 'freaked out' by horror movies (especially ones involving religious ideas since I'm an atheist), but this one genuinely spooked me. An incredible film, to say the least, and definitely a creepy one. I'll probably leave one of my lamps on tonight. Tongue

I watched the MST3k'd version. There will probably never be a worse werewolf film than this one, but it does have the closest thing to a female version of Tommy Wiseau I know of.

I just finished up this one:

The Machinist (2004)

I liked it a lot - this is a really eerie film that I'd definitely recommend to fans of psychological thrillers. Thumbs Up

I just watched Frankenstein, the classic with Karloff in it.  I taped a ton of horror movies in October, but I'll have to continue watching them in November. Approve

Since I liked The Machinist so much, I decided to watch another movie directed by Brad Anderson:

Vanishing on 7th Street (2010)

Can't say I was too thrilled by this one. Pretty poor character development, the entire plot remains unexplained at the end, and I didn't like the religious implications throughout it. It wasn't bad by any stretch as the acting was solid across the board and some parts were genuinely suspenseful, but it was painfully mediocre overall. Meh.

That's a shame. Unhappy Have you seen either Transsiberian or Session 9? Those were two of his other films I was planning on watching (they're more well-received than the one I watched last night), but I might just skip them both if they're not any good.

Yesterday afternoon, I watched the 1949 version of The Fall of the House of Usher  while my parents and sister visited.  It was god-awful.

Since I'll most likely watch Skyfall this weekend, I decided to check out Quantum of Solace.

I knew going into it that it wasn't supposed to be as good as Casino Royale, and it wasn't.  A bit dull, but still a decent watch.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the bad guy (Matieu Amalric) was that he looked like Chick Corea.

I loved Casino Royale but really didn't like Quantum of Solace.  I'm no movie critic but it just didn't seem like a real Bond movie to me.  Hopefully Skyfall can get the series back on track and save Daniel Craig from further unwarranted lashings.

Session 9 is alright, has some good to it. Not more then 7/10 to me.
