Circle II Circle - Seasons Will Fall
Alcest - Ecailles De Lune
Heart Of Cygnus - The Voyage Of Jonas
Vandroya - One

That new Circle II Circle is very good, much better than their last couple of albums Delusions Of Grandeur and Consequences Of Power.

Good god that artwork is hideous.  It's Voivod so I have no doubts about how good the music is though.

^Actually Im not completely convinced yet. Its certainly better than the last three albums by the band, but Im missing something. Hopefully more spins will do the trick...

Preordered Clutch, Killswitch Engange and BMTH's new albums.

Also bought Pulkas's album for a penny.

I only listened once so far.  As with many first listens, a few tracks sort of blended together.  I was using my shitty computer speakers too, so a headphones listen would certainly be better.

With regard to the new Voivod I think it's around 3.5/5 having listening to it about half a dozen times. Sometimes I think we can overly critical os some of the older bands with loads of release's especially when they have a couple of classic albums.

I guess this is technically a metal purchase.  Not an album, but a copy of the March 2013 Decibel magazine.

I rarely buy metal magazines these days, but I had to get this for the Mike Patton story alone.  Plus there's an article on Slayer's  South of Heaven.  A ton of bands are mentioned in here that I need to get added to this site too. Big smile

I subscribe to this magazine which is always a good read. Unfortunately it takes ages to get to the UK and I just got this issue the other day.

I like the magazine, but I don't buy too many due to the space they take up.  I believe it is available digitally now.

Not sure I want to admit to this and am apprehensive about listening to it too (not had a chance yet), but finally relented and picked up Lulu by Metallica / Lou Reed. Is it really that bad?

Should say I also picked up today (and have listened to) the latest Threshold album, March of Progress. Cracking prog metal.

I havent listened to it yet either. From what I understand its very much an aquired taste.

It's different, for sure. I've only listened to it once so far but I really do like it. It's quite experimental. This is no Kill 'Em All, but neither is it a Load or Reload. And because most of the reviews are so poor, you can pick the album up for next to nothing. Every cloud and all that ...
