I would never have guessed! LOL

I finally watched a movie I'd wanted to see since I heard about it, Argo.  I had free movie vouchers, so what the heck!

I know that some Canadians have criticised this movie for downplaying Canada's true role, so I'll need to read up more on the history.  Not taking accuracy into account, I really enjoyed the role.  More comedic moments within than I would have thought, but I was too caught up in the story to laugh anyways.

Watched this sleazy old horror last night which I believe was called 'The Barn of the Naked Dead' in some territories. Pretty boring and nasty film that was difficult to sit through but it was on a list of old horrors that I have wanted to see since the 70s / 80s. Won't be revisiting it. 2/10

I watched Lenny today.

Dustin Hoffman does a great job of Lenny Bruce, though I haven't seen/heard all that much of Bruce in action.  I have a book that transcribes many of his performances.  In its use of black and white and cutting between personal life and on-stage, the film certainly reminded me of Raging Bull (though this did proceed it).  Definitely recommend it for those not familiar with Lenny Bruce. Thumbs Up

The Mechanic

The Statham version is overall better, but if you dig Bronson you'll find this one a solid watch.  If you want to save time just watch the beginning and closing 10 minutes to skip the worst of the dialogue and get the necessary action.

I just watched Silence of the Lambs for the first time ever.  Good thriller even though I already knew about certain plot points.

Watched a cult classic in Witchfinder General.

I bought a Vincent Price DVD set in October, and finally got around to watching one of the movies.

Excellent action film that I just discovered while browsing Netflix. The fight scenes are choreographed extremely well and I was entertained throughout the whole movie.

Edit: Changed the image

The Raid: Redemption which apparently seen a Canadian release in 2012. Completely slipped under my radar.

I watched this one with my 9 year old sister last night while my parents were out:

Parental Guidance (2012)

Let's just say that my sister enjoyed it more than I did, but it still had some funny bits. I definitely could've done without the cheesy melodrama at the end, though! LOL

Ken Burn's Baseball - First Inning: Our Game

A very good documentary series from what I've seen (First, Ninth, and Tenth Inning editions).

Very, very good survival horror/vampire film, with low budget:

A buddy of mine wanted to see this on Friday, so I went with him and some other friends:

G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013)

This was as much a generic explosionfest as anything I've ever seen. I guess it was alright at times, but I just can't stand generic, big-budget action films like this. Meh. We still had fun because the lead actress had a huge rack. LOLEmbarrassed

Kid Galahad (not the Elvis movie LOL)

Watched it on a DVD set my brother had.  It was preceded by a string of shorts, including a few cool Warner Bros. cartoons.

Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (1996)

It's a pretty dumb movie, but it's entertaining as hell and has some really funny scenes!
