Just listened to a bunch of random Dio songs. The man was a freakin' legend. You know what? I will openly admit that he had a TON of songs that I DO NOT dig....BUT, even for those songs that I am not a big fan of, I still find that they are a joy to listen to simply because of his performances. Second to none, spot-on, un-freakin' BELIEVABLE!!!

If you've never taken a step back and forgotten about being entertained by a song, and really studied the metal god that is DIO, JUST DO IT!!!!

What a treat.

Have to agree that not all is catalog is killer but his vocals never let you down. I think song writing wise he needed a foil or collaborator. However I don't think he ever made a poor album just a couple of average ones with too much filler, while he made many more fantastic albums with Rainbow, Sabbath & Dio that I would never part with.
