His filmography is really diverse. I've only seen a small fraction of it, but he's tackled a lot of styles. He made a strange 'western' some years ago, Sukiyaki Western Django, oddly for a Japanese movie made directly into English, played like a traditional US western but seemingly set in some sort of hybrid US-Japan with weird storyteller scenes starring Quentin Tarantino. He was also responsible for 13 Assassins which may just be the best traditional Samurai film post-Akira Kurosawa. It's really surprising how little known some of his movies are considering how massive one likes Audition became.

Amature sci-fi movie, starring Bruce Willis. It´s a mystery of the great ones how they convinced Willis to star in this crap movie, and an even greater mystery how they pursuased him to act this bad . https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9820556/

This is an unusual western. Lots of tense build-up, changing allegiances and lots of blurred lines on hero and villain all leading up to a final shootout, which then never happens. I'm genuinely not sure if its anticlimactic or the best Randolph Scott western I've yet seen.

I'm not averse to a bit of nudity and violence, which this movie has in spades. However don't go watching it expecting a J.Law wankfest, because it's not. The nudity is well within the context of the story, and far from arousing. The graphic violence could be a bit offputting to some people too. In between all that though is a pretty good spy thriller, with twists aplenty.

Part 3 of 6. The Spaghetti Western vibes are really strong in this series.

Picked this up based on a rec from Reddit. It didn't disappoint. Quite a gem. And here we have a much better known movie than the previous, which wasn't as good as its reputation. Maybe I'd have been more into it if I didn't already know the ending. That's the trouble with seeing movies that are too well known.

I thought this was a bit slow and a bit shit, until the end. The last third/quarter of the movie make a big difference.

A low budget horror pisstake. Has brilliantly funny moments. Unfortunately, the young heroine is an unlikeable brat.

Part 4 of 6. Still excellent. Not as serious as some samurai movies.

Now THAT is one hell of a fucking movie! I can't believe I'd never seen it before. And this was like watching a live stream of someone playing No Man's Sky in an empty world...

Goodfellas is one of my all time favourites.
IO I can't remember shit about other than Anthony Mackie was in it. Kept wondering why the guy who could land blockbuster roles like Marvel's Falcon was in such tripe.
