Not gonna lie, I watched this because I knew Julie Andrews got her boobs out. Tasteful nudity aside, it's actually pretty fucking funny in places, and mercilessly skewers Hollywood and the movie industry. Also notable as William Holden's final movie before his death. The boobs were good though...

Darkly hilarious gem from Netflix. A husband plots to kills his wife in their remote cabin, completely unaware that his wife has also plotted in kill him in their remote cabin as well. Neither were expecting the trio of escaped convicts who also showed up to the bloodbath. Utterly crazy film.

Not what you could call a great movie worth watching more than once but it was fairly entertaining.

Wanted to see this one for a long time now. Thanks to Criterion, it finally hit the UK home media market yesterday for the first time since the VHS days. And it did not disappoint.

It's either the law of diminishing returns, or the kids are getting more annoying as they grow up. Liking these a bit less as they go. Still pretty good, just less so.

^ I think number 5 is the lowest point and that 4 through 6 are the weakest three, but things pick up again for the two part finale.
Not Pixar's best film but I was entertained.

Went in with no expectations and am pleasantly surprised by how solid this actually is.

Spoiler alert: there were no witches in the woods. As far as my track record for randomly chosen horror movies off of streaming goes, this actually ended up being a cut above the norm, not that that's saying much when the bar is set pretty low, but my God, can we please start seeing more horror movies where the events don't come about from one bad decision after another? And also have some characters that make you actually give a fuck?

OK, an improvement on the last one. Didn't think much of Helena Bonham Carter's Bellatrix, but Imelda Stanton's Dolores Umbridge was everything I'd hoped for. Also loved the space cadet Luna Lovegood.

I didn't see this comment earlier. Interesting. I did find 5 better than 4 myself.

Unfortunately the version I found to watch was not the most complete cut around, running only about 75 minutes, but the picture quality was excellent with very little evidence of film damage and the colour sequences looked pretty damn good for 1925 as well.

Quite a fun Pixar outing but a way off their best work. Pretty damn weird. It kept me watching though, but I doubt I'll be doing so again.

So this is about where I thought the books fell off the rails, and this movie seems to have done the same. It might have been affected by the fact it too me three separate viewing sessions to watch it, but it was just a bit dull, despite the Big Plot Events in it.
