I'm not familiar with The Sweet, but it sounds as though I need to investigate them.

in no particular order (but if I was to take 10 albums on a desert island at this point in my life, they would not be metal albums)
Sad Wings Of Destiny
Rainbow Rising
Paranoid
Van Halen (deb)
Iron Maiden (deb)
Hard & Heavy (Anvil)
Secret Treaties
What's Next (Mahogany Rush)
A Farewell To Kings
Rage Against The Machine (deb)
and an unlikely one for those who know me)

^^^^^^^^
I deliberately avoided Zep, Aerosmith, Purple & Heep, because they're not really that metal
BTW, I noticed that the first six in my list are either the debut or the sophomore album in the group's discography. Edited by Sean Trane - 08 Jul 2010 at 11:02am |

We were bored at work today and my friend asked me to list my top 10 metal albums. This is what I came up with after a moment of thought:

Type O Negative - Life is Killing Me 8. Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 9. Metallica - ...And Justice for All 10. Dream Theater - Images and Words

Amorphis - Skyforger Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine: Biomech Those are the only two metal albums I would want to listen to for who-knows-how-long, based on their depth and the fact that I will be on that island for an indefinite amount of time. I was actually going to make a desert island reference in my review of Ocean Machine, but it was never written. I really gotta get around to doing that. |
