^ Yep I think they milked the idea for all its worth. None of the films are particularly highly rated but 3 and 4 are really slated.

This evening I watched: The Ward (2010).

Not John Carpenter at his best but I enjoyed it mostly. My opinion of it was raised greatly by a twist ending that I didn't see coming a mile off but then it turned into one of those films that just had to have one final twist in the very last second and I don't know why but for me that spoiled its effect a bit.

I saw most of Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night with Jason Segel, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis and Russell Brand. I thought it was highly entertaining. I need to watch it again LOL

All for Three (2017)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4942270/

Number three in the Danish comedy series. It´s as crazy as the first two. Both me and the kids were laughing our asses off.

^I´ve watched Tank Girl and Valarian out of those. Enjoyed both although the former was absolutely crazy LOL. Valarian was alright, but I had higher expectations going in.

Regarding It (2017) I didn´t enjoy it much. Too long and too fragmented in the story telling.

Loved it, as I have all of the Kurosawa films I've seen so far. I especially found the end scene very powerful.

Last night:

Deadpool (2016).

Absolutely mental. So unlike the other X-Men films.

Wow this was a beautiful and quite bizarre love movie. Not all movies about love are shallow and filled to the brim with cliches.

^ I want to see that one. Guillermo del Toro has directed, written or produced quite a few of my favourite films.

Watched two today.

Veronica (2017) - Spanish language horror film. Enjoyably for its genre though ultimately predictable.

Airplane! (1980) - I know this one is considered a classic by many, but I really did not enjoy it. I know it's a spoof and some of the absurd bits did make me laugh, but overall I just found it too stupid for its own good.

Got one more in last night:

The Ritual (2017) - this is one of the best horror films I've seen in a while. Genuinely creepy and full of tension.

Most recent two:

Emelie (2015) - this was the kind of psychological horror thriller type that tried so hard to be sinister but rarely succeeded.

Shutter Island (2010) - I really liked this one. Very dark without ever becoming actual horror.

More recent ones:

Green Room (2015) - this was excellent.

The Innkeepers (2011) - this was surprisingly decent haunted hotel fare.

The Fountain (2006) - this was downright weird, though I enjoyed it.

The Neon Demon (2016) - for a film about the US modelling industry this was one of the most dark and twisted films I've seen it a while, especially in the last 30 minutes.

What Happened to Monday (2017) - this was also excellent.
