'

CIRCLE OF OUROBORUS / DROWNING THE LIGHT: "Moonflares"

Can't wait for this to be released! Sample CoO track sounds as awesome as expected.

Still haven't heard the new Burzum.

I agree.  That cover makes me want to listen to this band, whom I've never heard before.  It looks like an album cover from the early 70s or something. Cool

Feel free to preview the track I linked! ;-) Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but neither it's proper black metal. Experimental black metalish stuff, sometimes totally acoustic. I've grown to love that new track, and it always happens with new CoO stuff, they keep releasing new stuff like every month and every release is just better and better.

The same applies to Drowning the Light's (the other participant on the split) career too though they are and have always been more traditional black metal. And not quite as excellent as CoO, but still! Really looking forward to getting this split.

I didn't notice that before.  I like it.

It's cool how the vocals sound kind of distant

Just received the new Fen album as a promo, so far only 1 listen, but it's brilliant.

yeah new Fen is brilliant, love it
new Dornenreich is fantastic, facinating release, maybe their best along with Her von welken Nchten, but sadly this will be the last metal oriented album they made, i assume they will return to neofolk of the previous 2 albums.
new Moonsorrow is a masterpiece, i couldn't stop listening to it, blew my mind totally
also Heretoir debut is good, post black fans will like this

A deceased part of my emotions wants to like that album, but unfortunately 'tis still withering instead of coming to life.

70s? Like 1870s? Confused
It's an English Romantic painting from 1853 by John Martin.
More potential metal album art here Big smile
