I'm always amazed at how many people tell me a certain Death album is their favorite and it's rarely mine! I love em all but the last one THE SOUND OF PERSEVERANCE tops the charts in my world. What's yours? And why if you care to share your tale. I simply like the last one because it's progressive as fuck!

As much as I love Leprosy, Human, and Symbolic, I'm going to have to go with Sound of Perseverance as well. Chuck's piercing shrieks, the chaotic drums, crushing and razor-sharp guitars, and everything else just sends chills down my spine. Certainly among my all-time favorites.

Leprosy, which is the first one I got in early 1990. The only one I don't like is Spiritual Healing.

It´s between "Human" and "Symbolic" for me, and I chose the latter. When I started listening to Death, "Spiritual Healing" was their latest release, and I remember the first jaw dropping moment when I put on my then completely new "Human" Vinyl. The level of technical playing on that one was amazing in those days, although I had already listened to Atheist at that point.

Just listened to Symbolic and was blown away by it more than i ever have been. I understand the hype. Gonna revisit Human and Invidual Thought Patterns today and see if they've evolved in my mind

I just spent the last few days listening to the last Death albums.
I like them in descending order actually. Sound Of Pers first Symbolic second Individual next Human near tie next the earlier ones are all pretty uniform in liking them Death ruled!!!
