Do you have any particular preferences?
If not, you could start with the MMA Top 5 Metal Albums |

If you´re completely new to the metal scene, I´d say giving the top rated albums on each sub genre page a try is the way to go.
Or you could mention some artists that you like, and we could recommend other similar artists to you. Edited by UMUR - 08 Sep 2017 at 7:02am |

Welcome to MMA!
I would recommend the same as others, the top albums of each sub genre on the site is a good way to familiarize yourself with the metal genre. Though if you already have some favorite artists, like Jonas said, we'd be happy to recommend some similar artists.

Welcome to MMA Elizabeth! As others have already said checking out the top albums in any sub-genres you're interested in is a good place to start. If there's any particular subs that grab your attention I'm sure we can point you in the direction of loads of great albums.
