An eternal challange of whom is most awesome. Very few beats Shagrath in vocals in metal generally one of the best metal vocals ever. But In Flames got their share of riff monsters and some albums to die for. Dimmu or Flames?

In Flames easily. Dimmu Borgir is okay, but they've never made an album called Lunar Strain have they?

After initially liking some of their early work, I went off both bands in a big way. I'm gonna go with In Flames, because one of their live albums came with a bonus mini jigsaw puzzle which I got in Korea.

I've not a massive fan of either but Dimmu Borgir have at least been consistently solid across everything I've heard by them. Admittedly I've heard less from In Flames, but I consider what I have heard to be enough, whereas I'm still interesting in hearing more of Dimmu's work.
