One of my favorite kinds of music too. Let's talk about this great sub-genre. I know more about doom death/black and funeral doom metal. But I wait for your replies to learn more.

I've just bought the last 2 Spiritual Beggars albums (I'm playing Demons as I type this) following a lot of hype across many metal sites.

....and believe me they are right, awesome!

I tend to mainly trend towards doom/death (Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride), but I do enjoy a lot of doom metal. I'm open for suggestions - I've never looked into the genre nearly as much as I would like to. Big smile

Yes Cathedral, Katatonia, October Tide, Tiamat and all that jazz is all good, but I'm a proud follower of the cult following of drone doom metal like Earth, Sunn O))), and Boris.

A fan of traditional doom. Candle Mass, Trouble, Electric Wizard, Solitude Aeturnus, Pagan Altar, Warning and Witchcraft. Celtic Frost and Pentagram for some reason don't do anything for me.

I've noticed stoner/doom Witchcraft from Sweden isn't present here at MMA. Not heavy enough? Maybe hard rock.

Stoner doom is also pretty nice!

Listen to Sheavy, Witchfinder General, Nebula and The Sword!

For those who likes Funeral Doom, I recommend the french band Monolithe!

Youtube is killin' it!

Here's some more. Two of my favourite albums by Corrupted. They're serious slow burns (at the start at least), so some patience might be needed:

Guai ai gelidi mostri Everything that is doddering, squint-eyed, infamous, sullying, and grotesque is contained for me in this single word: God Andr Breton
