Flat-Earthers

Is anyone familiar with this organization? I've been fascinated by it recently... it's really amazing that people would deny scientific facts to this extent. It goes back to the old saying... "you're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts".

I just hope this can lead to some good discussion. This group of people really has me baffled.

That's a legitimate organization, don't hate just because they are different

I wonder what else they would deny in terms of astronomy. If the Earth were indeed flat (as it is according to their theory), virtually everything we know about the universe is entirely incorrect. This would mean no gravity, no moon landing, no solar system... thoughts?

It is true. I remember being taught way back in elementary school even, that the idea of the flat Earth may have been the "norm" but there were people who talked about a round Earth. I believe there were books written about it, and that (maybe it wasn't talked about) but the round earth notion was known by a lot of the science community.

I mean you see a ship come out of nowhere over the horizon. Unless it is coming from the underside of the flat Earth, seems pretty obvious!
