He isn't the first from the metal scene though to be a major fuckup, let's not forget that. He's taken a massive shit on his bands by doing this, but I for one am determined not to let it affect my enjoyment of Iced Earth's music.

Well he certainly had it comin`. Act like an idiot and people will make fun of you and you will lose their respect. This will take years to repair, and while I personally don´t listen to music because I favor an artist´s opinions or not (I both listen to Christian music and Burzum, and I don´t agree with any of those views and behaviour in the case of the latter), some people may not be that forgiving.

Those charges look pretty serious. If he actually used a pepper spray on a guard inside a federal building, that´s a really serious crime. If convicted just that charge will probably earn him at least a few years in prison (I don´t know the US legal system or the length of their punishments, but as far as I know, they are usually very long)...and that´s just one of the charges.

Yeah it's looking bad for him. Completely deserved of course. Who I feel sorry for are his bandmates. Jon may be the main writer of Iced Earth but he's never been the sole writer (and this isn't accounting for performances themselves) and there are quite a few other members having their work dismissed because of his actions. Although I honestly wouldn't be surprise if they end up leaving Iced Earth if the band continues in some form.
