I freaking LOVE this sub-genre of metal music! It's such amazing ear-candy...3 of my favorite bands are Amaranthe, Metalite and Passcode. It's a shame there aren't that many of these bands around as I think trance music works WONDERFULLY in a metal context(esp. power metal). What about you guys? What are some of your favorite bands from this micro-genre?

Not a genre I know much about. I do know that we’re a little light on trance metal bands here on MMA. It’s not yet been a priority for us to work on, but we need to at some point.

Haven't heard much, but haven't liked much of what I have (Not usually a fan of either euro power metal or eurodance, which seems to be what trance metal often is). I do like some of Infected Mushroom's stuff though where they combine psytrance with metal riffs. Is there any more stuff like that where it's more on the harder side of trance and metal?
