Grindcore is a genre of music I'm not too familiar with (mainly because I haven't been very impressed by what I have heard). So, I'm partially opening this thread for personal recommendations, and partially because this is a good topic for a list.

I have a few favorites:
Some of these are on the border between grindcore and death metal, but thats usually how I like my grindcore. With traits of Death metal. Edited by UMUR - 27 Mar 2011 at 1:28pm |

^Pig Destroyer's already getting tons of love in this thread, but Prowler in the Yard is pretty much necessary. Very groovy grind with all the tracks blending together to pull off the "one long song" type deal.

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

I'll most likely make Need to Control one of my next purchases. I like their debut, and I really liked what little I've heard from the follow up. And I've always wondered what your avatar was. I'll check them out. Plus I'm definitely down with Nasum. |

Cretin are pretty much Repulsion clones, but they deliver their grindcore filthy and repulsive. I like that.
