Ok, I was now able to watch a decent fee, and yeah that was pretty great actually. All power to Gojira and the Olympic Comete for letting them play at such at high level event.

For those who haven't seen it and don't want to shuffle through the ceremony to find it, I found an upload of it on its own here: Something about the performance that isn't being said is that the opera singer, Marina Viotti, who sang with them, also has metal credentials. We don't have her bands on MMA but she sang on a few releases of a couple of bands, Lost Legacy and Soultaker, some years ago.

Unsurprisingly for Gojira it was a bloody banger! Kudos to the French for putting on that show!
And absolutely no kudos whatsoever to all the fucking TV commentators who kept yapping throughout the whole damn song in every video I watched of the thing!
