King's X. Have to be one of the most appreciated, underrrated band. All three members very talented. Ty Tabor being the most talented and the driving force behind the band musically, lyrically and and in the studio.

Haven't listened to King's X, but Neurosis easily blasts the other two out of the water.

All of the above are great bands, but I'm gonna support King's X in this one. Kind of a random grouping though.

Meshuggah > Kings X > Nuerosis
Haven't listened to enough Melvins to judge, and yeah, this grouping is weird. |

Meshuggah. Melvins needs more love though.

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

Hmmm I'm not really a huge fan of Meshuggah anymore but I like much more of their output than that of Neurosis.
Then the other 2 So Meshuggah gets mah vote! |

Meshuggah is my favorite out of these, although I like all of these bands.

Neurosis. Also like The Melvins. Meshuggah gives me headaches. I have read heaps about Kings X over the years, but don't recall ever hearing them.

Over 4 years later I still wouldn't change my vote, but I did edit my original post for the runner-up (Meshuggah changed to Melvins, who I've grown very fond of)

This is a very random sampling here! I can honestly say i like all these bands but i think Neurosis is the absolute most consistent of all in keeping excellent quality while changing it up every single album so i have to vote for them. I love Meshuggah's brash and brilliant headache music though. Great way to scare the neighbors. King's X had excellent alt metal albums in the beginning. At least six but haven't kept up with newer releases. Melvins are great too but i'm only familiar with their most popular albums from the 90s.
