Little Introduction and Hello

Just wanted to say hello to all of you on MMA.  UMUR led me over here from progarchives, so thanks for that!  I am a big fan of metal (although the more progressive, the better).  Other genres I really enjoy are jazz and classical.  I was formally trained in classical and jazz, but found a lot in metal to love as a counterpoint to those genres.
I play in a couple of bands - a Christian progressive rock band called A New Creation, and a jazz/acoustic/funk group called the Alec Delphinec Band.  I mostly play keys, but play drums, sax and guitar as well (but not formally trained).

I am really into Opeth, Symphony X, Devin Townsend, Epica, Dillinger Escape Plan, Between the Buried and Me, Mastadon, etc.  Really anything that is creative and new.

I am really looking forward to using this site as a resource to keep up with new releases and new bands.  Big thanks from Dayton for creating this site!
