Dick Dale is in the proto-metal archives, but no Jimi. How can that be(?). Just wanted to hear from fellow members what would be there choice on who had a bigger influence on the development of metal.

Hmmm.... you can really hear Dick Dale's influence on heavy metal, but I don't think he was a direct influence on most metal musicians. Hendrix's influence, on the other hand (LOLZ GET IT CUZ HES A LEFTY Tongue), can be heard in metal music and his works also directly inspired many metal musicians. 

They're both highly influential, but my vote goes to Hendrix.
