Seven Samurai.  Kurosawa is mthe supreme master of cinema.

Honor mention goes to the brazilian film Elite Squad 2 (it's on the 250 better movies list).

I haven't seen all of these, but I'd either vote Psycho or The Shawshank Redemption. I think I'll vote Shawshank here by a narrow margin... then again, I haven't seen Psycho in a while.

From this list, The Godfather. There are a lot of excellent movies here, but quite a few movies that I'd just call "good" ... I mean there's not a single Kubrick film!

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is my favorite film of all time. There's lots of other brilliant films on this list, Pulp Fiction, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Usual Suspects and Fight Club to name a few.
