Pain of Salvation is one of my all time favorite bands, so it's about time that we have a poll about them. Big smileWhat is your favorite album by the masters of prog metal? All of their albums are fantastic IMO except for Scarsick, which I don't enjoy at all. For me, TPE1, Remedy Lane, and Be are all 5-star masterpieces, but TPE1 is my all-time favorite album, so I have to vote for that one. Clap

I'll give my vote to Entropia, which is great and I believe it has nothing to envy to Remedy Lane, BE or TPE pt. 1. Plus, those 3 I believe will receive plenty of votes.

I voted for "Be". However, my favorite release of theirs is "Be Live".

Here's how I rate their releases:

Entropia - 4/5
OHBTCL - 4/5
TPE - 5/5
Remedy Lane - 5/5
Be - 5/5
Scarsick - 3/5
12:5 - 4/5
Be Live - 5/5
Ending Themes - 4/5

I'm not familiar with "Linoleum" yet.

Smile

I like the first three the best, with TPE winning. Remedy Lane doesn't add much for me and has that screechy tone on the clean guitars. BE is just too much for me. Not enough music, too much philosophy. The little I've heard of Scarsick doesn't stand up to the rest of their work.

I've heard good things about Be Live and 12:5. But so many albums so little time.
We're gonna do a little number featuring Randy Rhoads...

Voted for BE which is awesome, but I still haven't heard Entropia or TPE...
Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

Remedy Lane.
But really, their first 4 are all awesome, and I really like Be and Scarsick Shocked

RS1 has been the only let down for me in their whole discog thus far.

Entropia for me, such a great unique album. Scarsick a close second. I don't really like the other albums much apart from a few songs.

Don't know "Concrete Lake" and don't care for Scarsick. Love the others - went for Remedy Lane.

This topic was made in April 2010. Road Salt One and anything later weren't released then, which is why they are not included.

Someone can feel free to make a fresh poll for this band with the more recent releases included.
