Beecher may seem like a strange suggestion as this band are sometimes thought of as hardcore. Their music is to my mind progressive metalcore, and quite brutal at times. Progarchives http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=4565 describe the music in the band bio negatively as "listenable" and judging by the ratings, many agree.
