30 years since Cliff died.
I've always wondered what Metallica would have sounded like, and what direction they would have taken had he lived. He was the most musically adventurous member of the band, but as one of the two superegos in the band said (can't remember if it was Lars or James), who knows if Cliff would have even stayed IN Metallica? Personally, I think he would have tried to move the band in a bit of a stoner/groove (not Pantera groove, but proper 70s groove) or perhaps more trippy and experimental, or even a bit jazzy sort of direction. |

^He (and Lars too) was the organic member of the band, and always ensured they had a groove even when the riffs were played with militant precision.
