Went with Arch Enemy. Crimson is the only one I have a five stars on but I gave it that after one listen years ago and have never felt inclined to listen to it again since (so I should probably take that down to something lower). Several solid Amon Amarth albums here though I've never felt inclined to actually buy anything from that band. I do have the Scar Symmetry album but I'm not as big a fan of them as I am Arch Enemy, who are one of the few melodic death metal acts that I really like. I'd prefer that the album to vote on was War Eternal since for my money that's their only five star, but Rise of the Tyrant is a good second.

Amon Amarth's Surtur Rising, although I really like the Arch Enemy and Carcass albums as well.
I wish In Flames's Lunar Strain was in the top melodic death albums.
