Didn't want to leave heavy metal out of this poll series on modern classics though this poll is even more of a joke than thrash was since I had to go all the way down to number 344 on the RYM chart to get 25 albums by different artists from the 2006 - 2016 release window.

The Sword for me, but it's more of a stoner/doom album than anything else.
As far as trad heavy metal goes, I'd probably vote Motorhead or Accept.

It was tagged as stoner/heavy on RYM and I wasn't being picky by that point with this poll. Literally only Pagan Altar is in the top 100 for post-2006 heavy metal.

Iron Maiden. Book of Souls has copped plenty of criticism, but I like it a lot.

^It's gotten criticism in the way anything by a big name band will: It gets a lot of attention, so of course it'll have a lot of haters. Many fans also think it's amazing, though, and one of their better efforts, and I agree. Don't even need to see the other options to know it's my vote.

As tempted as I am to vote for Iron Maiden, I went with Hell - Curse & Chapter.

Went with Hell's Curse & Chapter, though The Book of Souls is of course excellent too.
