Here I've listed the highest rated album of each of the 19 sub-genres on the archive.
So, which of these 19 masterpieces is your favorite? After voting post what it is (and if your up to it why ) Feeding the DT fanboy in me, I voted Scenes From a Memory

I have to go with Scenes since it is my favorite album of all time, so i couldn't not vote for it. But Symbolic and 7th Son come in close second.

I really wish I could vote for 7th Son, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I love how Agalloch has a top album in two sub-genres

that's because there is a serious issue with Agalloch's album categorization that has yet to be resolved for example: The Mantle is NOT folk metal! |

Has to be Symbolic, a death prog metal album that I seriously doubt will be topped anytime.
Sad, because I find The Great Misdirect is merely good by BTBAM standards, and if Colors were ranked #1 in metalcore that would have been my vote. |

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

This list seems out of date. The best black metal album teeters between Dark Space II by Darkspace and The Olden Domain by Borknagar, but either of those blows everything else on this list out of the water anyway.
