I decided to start a weekly poll series to try to get some new threads going in here. Every Saturday* I will post a new poll for a different artist who has had at least two lead vocalists on their studio recordings. I am going to try to avoid really major bands where the majority opinion is obvious (we all know most people prefer Rob Halford to Tim Owens for instance). Bands will be chosen primarily based on my own knowledge of their line-up changes.
Week One: Arch Enemy. Three vocalists to choose from: Johan Liiva (1995-2000) Angela Gossow (2000-2014) Alissa White-Gluz (2014-present)
* Meaning until I go and forget |

I can´t stand any of the two women, so Liiva it is. I like the Liiva period much better too. It wasn´t as polished and formulaic as the later releases became. ...and I like both Furbowl and Hearse, which are two of Liivas other bands. A great vocalist and personality.

I've also gone with Liiva. I may be being less than objective - Burning Bridges was the first Arch Enemy album I bought and the one I play most.

Gossow.
I know a lot of people don't like it, but Doomsday Machine has always been one of my favorite death metal albums, and I think her almost robotic sounding vocals work really well with the mechanical atmosphere of that album.

Alissa is fucking terrible, and Johan was uninspiring, so Angela it is.

Alissa. I like her growl more. She can also sing cleanly and is on their best album to date.
