what genere would Soundgarden fit under if the grunge tag disapeard
to me Soundgarden is not grunge, they were to technical and pro's,
I would probably called them sludge or stoner rock/metal myself,
GOD I LOVE THIS BAND
and is also see a invicible link between my likings for Soundgarden as the same for my likings for Kyuss, i just think they are two each own, very much covers my alt metal fandom, I am prettu sure though my next band that would be the next link would be Alice in Chains and Janes Addiction Edited by Balthamel - 13 May 2011 at 12:50pm |

Personally, if the tag "grunge" disappeared, I believe they would still share the same tag as the other original bands at the time. Another tag but still describing the same music and the same bands. Green River, Melvins etc I still think they would belong there. The "Temple Of The Dog" tribute to Mother Love Bone's Andrew Wood is one of my favourite and incredibly emotional albums of all time. Love Soundgarden and love the genre. I must get around to play them all again. |
