as many Procol songs this is very dark and gloomy, and perhaps even a bit doomy, (ther is a doomish part in In held Twas n I), and the hole Home and Broken Barricades are doomy rock, gothic, gloom rock, 

but this poll is about the delishously evil and dark song titled Whaling Stories, and the midsection is probably one of the most doom ladden moments in rock,

	my vote is a defenite YES, i would like to hear a doom metal band make a cover out of this track, or Neurosis, that would be awesome
