Hey folks, anyone going to ATP London's metal evening at the end of this month? I'm not going to the full weekend (much as I like Mogwai I don't like enough of the other bands on Saturday or Sunday to justify it) but I'm pumped for the Friday afternoon/evening set because it's got Slayer and Sleep - two bands I love - plus a bunch of bands I've been meaning to check out like Yob, Wolves In the Throne Room and the Melvins.

Hm. Might have to make sure I wear ear protection for this one.

Just heard that Jeff Hanneman is still in recovery from the spider bite and Gary Holt from Exodus is going to be standing in for him. Should be interesting - I hear Holt does a really good job there.
