Mid-Atlantic states:

New York
Pennsylvania
New Jersey
Delaware
Maryland
Virginia
West Virginia



I'm gonna go with Dream Theater on this one (Long Island, NY)

Other ones I can think of atm that I listen to are Symphony X (NJ), Lamb Of God (Virginia), and White Lion (NJ/Philly)

Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Incantation (NY)
Gwar, Municipal Waste (VA)
Poison (PA)
Clutch, Dying Fetus, Kix, Misery Index, The Obsessed (MD)

I think my favorite band from this area is Gwar.

New York's got an entire death metal scene with Immolation, Incantation, Suffocation, and the like.  New Jersey has Overkill, Evoken, and Funebrarum.  Vektor, who used to be based in Arizona, moved to Philly in 2012.  Maryland's got Dying Fetus.

I don't really know who all is from that area except Anthrax, Overkill, Nuclear Assault and Biohazard. So.... one of them.
I think Cro-Mags and Type O Negative are from there too. Coheed ?
Maybe Hatebreed, maybe not.
