   That's some very specific requirements you've got there. I've been having a think but haven't come up with anything that might suit you.
The thing with Opeth is that they've always been quite the unique act; their sound evolving over time sure but I know very few acts who could be said to be truly like them even if that was what you wanted.

Hmm. I can't say for certain you'll find something that fits your desires here, but have you explored the artists the band has listed as influences at all? Mikael was very influenced not just by heavy metal but by 70s prog rock.
