I am Matt or Dobbie from Sunny New Zealand. I followed the other fellows over to MMA from another forum. I have been into Metal for a good 20 years or so now and I love it more now than ever. I am generally into Death and Black Metal though I listen to most Metal, Power Metal being the only part of the Metal world I don't like that much. Thanks for the welcome. Too many bands to list really but Gorguts, Carcass, Immolation, Origin, Ulcerate and Incantation are at the top for Death. Favourite Black Metal bands are Darkthrone, Helheim, Marduk, WiTTR and Dissection plus plenty more :D |

Welcome! I can concur with an inability to get into power metal, although I'm still a newb when it comes to metal, so part of that comes from lack of exposure to the better bands. |

@Bosh66, thanks mate and it is considerably sunnier than usual here in NZ at the moment. @UMUR, thanks for the welcome. @Time Signature, I'm not old, almost 36 :) I got a bit of a shock when I re-read what I wrote. 20 years! Feels like only yesterday when I picked up my first 'Tallica cd. @Polymorphia, yeah Power Metal just doesn't do it. There are some PM bands I like though I do prefer the heavy ones. I do love very early Helloween. @bartosso, you apology is accepted though there was no need for one :D and thanks for the welcome. |
