again, harder than I thought
other bands I considered and some worthy mentions

Forbidden (now I remembered them but I forgot their great debut for that poll, shame on me LOL)
Megadeth (a bit uneven, everyone was listening to it back in the day, weaker than CtE)
Annihilator (uneven but fun to listen to)
Glenn Hughes (this guy is amazing, I warmly recommend his albums)
Queensryche (Promised Land was their last great album)
Dio (never released anything bad/weak)
Accept (a lot of people disliked Deathrow but I enjoyed it back in the day)
Cinderella (their last album, such a shame they disbanded after that)
Asia (Aria is one of the best albums of the John Payne years)
Tankard (Two Faced, fun to listen to)
Foreigner (Mr. Moonlight was the name of the album, Lou Gramm came back briefly and I dare mention this easy listening melodic hard rock/pop-rock album because Lou's singing was amazing)
Alice Cooper (The Last Temptation is one of his best albums, worthy to sit next to his classic stuff)

Marillion - Brave (best prog album of 1994 for me); Fish did a great album in 1994 as well (Suits, my favorite of his)
Pink Floyd's Division Bell is a worthy mention as well.

I've heard three here. Guess I'll go for Master of the Rings but I can't say I've been able to get overly fond the album, but I did rate it higher than the other two I've heard (Awake and Balls to Picasso).

For me best album of 1994 is Running Wild - Black Hand Inn with an honorable mention for Burzum - Hvis lyset tar oss.
