I went with Awaken the Guardian although, to me, it's more of a progressive metal album. Had Vicious Rumors' Welcome to the Ball been on the list, that would have been my pick. -------------

Decided to vote Iced Earth's Burnt Offerings, probably the heaviest power metal album ever recorded. I love the Helstar albums, Metal Church albums, Vicious Rumors, Fates Warning, Sanctuary, and Crimson Glory albums as well though.
