The current top rated trad heavy metal albums, vote your favorite.

I'm going to have to think about this one, as Sad Wings, Powerslave, and Master of Reality are all favorites of mine.

There's several here that deserve my vote (Rainbow, Judas Priest, both Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell and Hell) but I'm going to go with my initial instinct and give it to Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.

Sabbath, Priest and Maiden are three of my favourite bands ever but this vote goes to Rainbow.

I voted Powerslave, though Seventh Son isn't too far behind.

Paranoid out of these

top albums or not, one album per band would be enough

Powerslave - Iron Maiden. Still their best but most of those albums are in my collection. Priest come second.

I went for Seventh Son, though there's a lot of quality stuff here. In fact most of them are 5 star albums for me. And those that aren't are all 4.5.

Paranoid always strikes me as inconsistent, and just plain not as interesting, as the two Sabbath albums that surround it.  Black Sabbath, as much as any other band, can claim the title of most innovative band in heavy metal history.  That's why I'm going with Master of Reality.

In the absence of Cheeky Girls' Touch My Bum, I went with Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.
