Since I'm currently chronologically reviewing Faith No More's discography, I figured it'd be fitting to create a poll about it. Which of their 6 albums is your favorite? Smile

For me it's Angel Dust... absolute masterpiece. Clap

For me, it's "The Real Thing". Not a weak moment on that one... and how can one not love the famous boing-boing-boing-boing-b-b-boing bass line?!?!?!

Angel Dust  very slightly over King for a Day. The Real Thing and Album of the Year battle just as evenly for the third place, but far behind the first two.

I still haven't listened to King For A Day and Album of the Year a whole lot... I've probably only heard each of them 2 or 3 times each, since I haven't had them for that long. I can't wait to get more familiar with those ones. Big smile I'm also hoping to write my 5 star review for Angel Dust sometime this week. Incredible album. Heart

Maaaan, I'm always the odd man out, it seems. None of FnM's other albums ever managed to capture me like "The Real Thing" did.

Generally speaking, it seems like you're just the odd man out in this poll. Most people I know and most reviews I've read will say that The Real Thing is the definitive FNM album... I think you're the "normal" one, and we're all just weird. Tongue

I gave The Real Thing 4.5 stars, so I'm in the majority as well. That album has some truly amazing stuff.

That's pretty much my view as well, though the third place gap isn't too large.

I voted Angel Dust, but to be fair I haven't come around to reviewing any FNM yet, so I've not yet become completely familiar with each album.

Have the real thing. I intend on getting Angel Dust soon, I hear it's masterful.

Obviously no vote.

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

The Real Thing is my favorite from them.  Overall they are a pretty good group.  However, I don't really like too much else that Mike Patton has been involved in.

You mean bands like Mr. Bungle? I agree.

The Real Thing. Huge sentimental value for me. But any answer is a correct answer here imo. Except for Introduce Yourself (and We Care a Lot of course), which is a fine album but the Mike Patton albums are on a different level really.

Angel Dust. But The real thing is not far behind, King for a day and album of the year are allso very good, they are one of thos groups that never realy made a bad album, insted they quit before things started goin downhill, more bands shuld follow thire example i think! Tongue

Nope, but im actually only counting the ones with Mike Patton realy. Yust like most people only whuld count the Pantera albums with Anselmo. For me The real thing was thire real debute album, yust as Cowboys from hell was the true debute of Pantera, but thats yust my opinion. Wink

Angel Dust. Not only do I think it is the best FNM album, I think it is one of the top albums ever; any band, any genre.

Angel Dust by a half star over The Real Thing. I think The Real Thing has a slightly more "radio friendly" sound to it than Angel Dust. AD is pretty dark in some places, which I love.

And how does Patton keep from shredding his vocal chords on Malpractice and Smaller and Smaller? I would really like to know that.

I'm going to give some love to Introduce Yourself, closely followed by Angel Dust.
