25 modern (2006 - 2016) prog metal albums. Vote for your favourite. List taken from RYM's chart with no repeat bands. In this one I skipped over any albums that I thought were obviously more power, black, death, core based etc.

Devin Townsend's Ziltoid, one of the few prog metal albums I really like.

Also, Meshuggah is not prog metal!

Which I will never understand, and I don't think the band themselves will ever understand either (They reject being called "djent"). LOL

Ziltoid also. Prog really isn't my thing.

Seventh Wonder, one of my all time favorite prog albums. There's many other cases here where I like the band, but album in question isn't really a favorite.

Some good candidates here! The albums that have been most influential to me are Devin's Ziltoid the Omniscient and Wolverine's Still, with Haken's The Mountain as a runner-up.

A tough choice so many great albums - Symphony X, Mastodon, Enslaved, Riverside to name a few, but I'll go for Opeth - Watershed.

I had to go with Redemption - Snowfall On Judgement Day. Absolutely love that album, probably my album of 2009. Skyforger is close in that regard though.

I also love the Symphony X, Seventh Wonder (The Great Escape is better and would've gotten my vote in this poll, however), Opeth, Amorphis and Haken albums too.

The one that stands out for me is Haken's The Mountain.

this is a cool pollClap

I don't know them all, a couple I don't even like but out of the ones I know, Redemption got my vote. Snowfall... is great, my favorite from the band.

Pretty much got all those albums. Went for Thy Catafalque. Not heard it for a while so I’ll line it up now.
