I personally like metal versions of Christmas songs and I am looking for versions. If you know any metal or hardrock Christmas song versions you may post them here.

Let me begin with three examples:

Here is the song Mary's Boy Child by the X-Mas Project which was a project in the 80s with members from Rage, Mekong Delta, Living Death, Axel Rudi Pell's Steeler, Tankard, and Holy Moses:

Mary's Boy Child - X-Mas Project (singer Peavy Wagener from Rage)

This is Jingle Bells from the same project but with Toto from Living Death singing:

This is Ronnie James Dio with God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

This is the earliest one I know of (discounting Slade's effort, which isn't metal in my book!);

The Greedies (AKA, The Greedy Bastards) - spot the familiar faces!

I've always found this one pretty funny. It stands well as its own song too!

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

Yes I love Red Water too. Type O perfectly capture the depressive mood that are also a part of Christmas for some people.

Heres one from Danish metal act Red Warszawa. Its called "Julemandens Selvmordsbrev" ("Santas Suicide note") . The pressure has become too much for Santa and he hangs himself. During the song were also told that he used to have sex with the leprechauns. Bizarre and totally "out there" lyrics as usual from these Danish madmen.

I have a compilation disc of metal Christmas songs; my favourite is "Silent Night" with Chuck Billy, Scott Ian, Jon Doins, Chris Wyse and John Tempesta.  I also quite like Lemmy, BIlly Gibbons and Dave Grohl playing "Run Run Rudolph"

Did anyone hear that Corey Taylor one last year ?
It was pretty obnoxious.
...but then that was the point, so maybe I'm just being judgemental.
