Sorry to disappoint all, but there's nothing in this thread about that kind of pole.

Rather, this is a poll about stripped down albums! Most of them are metal bands who did some quiet releases. As for the metal-turned-soft bands, I picked out the albums that stuck out the most in terms of softness from their previous discography.

Personally I'm going to wait out a bit until a couple votes come in. I think bands do well for themselves when they do this sort of thing, they should do it more!

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

Mine without a doubt is 12:5, I think PoS really pulled off the re-imagining of their work successfully and created a whole new experience for the fans, instead of simply playing acoustic versions.

ehhh, I don't really associate the term "stripped down" with "quiet," especially not in the case of something like Part the Second which is pretty complex.

True, not to mention Devin Townsend's Ki is filled with layers. That being said, I feel Part the Second definitely fits in the theme of the poll.

Besides, I needed more entries Tongue
