Rhymin' and Stealin' from Patrick and Adam, decided to go through my collection and listen to albums that I either have never listened to, never all the way through, or haven't heard in a while. I guess I'll define "in a while" as maybe 2017 and earlier? I'd say 2018 was when I really started to open my ears to music and realized what music I responded to and what I didn't. So I don't know how some stuff will hold up.

I won't go in any order, just pick random albums that I might be in the mood for. Starting with Soulfly:

Genres: Nu Metal, Groove Metal

Year: 2002

Have I listened to it?: At some point, it's been so long though there's only two scrobbles on Last.fm before now.

General thoughts on the band: I've always liked Soulfly, but they're one of those bands that's never been a favorite so I'm only familiar with a handful of albums. Primitive is definitely my favorite from what I know.

Prediction on thoughts: I think it's going to be really good, probably will end up my second favorite after Primitive.

Must admit, I'm having a blast with mine. I've played some albums I haven't done for far too long. 

^Yeah, it's definitely a more fun way to explore the sometimes forgotten parts of a collection.

Have I listened to it?: Tons, an old favorite of mine. According to last.fm though I haven't listened to the whole album since before I got last.fm (which was 2014)

General thoughts on the band?: Pendulum used to be one of my favorite bands in my early teens, but I just stopped listening to them much. Always look back with fondness though and I'm really nostalgic for several of their songs. This the only album I actually own by them, but I'm revisiting through their small discog.

Prediction on thoughts: Definitely some nice feelings of nostalgia, but I suspect it'll hold up pretty well.

This is my most recent "oh yeah..."

It's really heavily influenced by Death from that era, but it's so well played, and there's some incredibly good songs on there.

^I'd definitely quit too if the only things I had that I hadn't listened to in a while were Kiss and Green Day albums (Though unfortunately I'll have to get around to re-listening to the few Green Day albums I have, not expecting to enjoy those as much as I did when I was 13 lol) I haven't listened to Morgoth in a while, and when I did it was only once. I remember really liking them when I listened to them but can't remember a thing about them.

Definitely holds up. The Tempest is just such a fantastic song, that's never left my playlist. It's funny though how my feelings about certain songs have flipped though. Listening to it again, Visions was one of my favorites, when it used to be one of my least favorites. On the flipside, The Other Side used to be a favorite, but didn't like it as much this time around. Overall though it's a really good album to get a rock fan into electronic music or an electronic fan into rock music, obviously must've worked for me to a degree.

The same brother who gave me the Green Day and Kiss etc. also gave me some Pendulum to try. It wasn't really my thing.
