Looking for some great horror movies to watch. I'm typically not interested in torture-porn and slasher movies like Saw, Halloween, etc. as I don't find them that scary. If you feel that there are exceptions though or at least ones that are solidly entertaining I'll give' em a shot; what I'm really looking for though are quality psychological and supernatural horror movies. If you know of any let me know! Ones I've enjoyed so far are:

The first 2 Hellraiser movies

The Cabin in the Woods

Jacob's Ladder

Eraserhead(not really a horror movie so much as it is an art-house film though the imagery is still disturbing)

The Blair Witch Project

The original Evil Dead trilogy

Evil Dead (2013)

House On Haunted Hill(both versions, though the original is clearly superior)

End of Days

Alien(I consider it more sci fi personally but I know some also consider it horror)

The Ring(original Japanese version)

The Grudge(original Japanese version

Pulse(original Japanese version)

The Babadook

...and that's all I can think of for now. I'll let you know if I've seen any of your suggestions or not.

If you've seen the Japanese Pulse and Ring, what about Dark Water? Would be a good next step if you haven't seen that one and like a bit of J-Horror. 

Let's see what else I can put forward:

Black Swan - some decline to call this a horror movie, but I tend to disagree. Very twisted and psychological, much more than one might expect of a film set in a ballet company. 

The Haunting - The 1960s one. See also the TV series The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix for a reimagined version. 

The Innocents - As with above, also see The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix. 

The Devil's Backbone - an early del Toro movie in Spanish. Not the most scary movie going but very good.

Hereditary - a more recent one. Divides opinion a bit but personally I love it, even more so after a second watch.

The Thing - might be more gory than you want but along with Alien it's basically the pinnacle of sci-fi horror. 

The Lighthouse - A very psychological, surreal movie. Quickly became an all time favourite of mine actually. I've watched it three times this year already. 

Oh I forgot all about Black Swan and The Thing! Yeah Black Swan is pretty twisted and The Thing is a classic! I'll definitely check out the others though.

you might also like Suspiria (1977), which has minor slasher elements but is very much a surreal supernatural movie

More modern ones I liked (I also don't like slashers or body horror): Event Horizon, The Incident AKA Asylum Blackout, Session 9, In the Mouth of Madness, Prince of Darkness, 

If you liked Hellraiser 1 and 2, Lord of Illusions is the next best Clive Barker movie.  It's a little less horror though.  I didn't care for Nightbreed.

There are a bunch of "Alien underwater" ripoff movies from the 80s, Deepstar Six and Leviathan are watchable

I'm not too big on The Exorcist but I will check out The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I've also seen Event Horizon, In the Mouth of Madness and Prince of Darkness. Quality stuff there! Lord of Illusions is also great. Will check out the rest.

Also for sci-fi horror: Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Either of them I guess though I prefer the 1978. 

If you like J-Horror, perhaps see also the niche Japanese Kaidan genre. Historical set ghost stories. Best known movies are Kwaidan (anthology film) and Kuroneko. A closely related but not quite a Kaidan movie is Onibaba. 

I haven't watched a whole lot of horror myself, but I agree about not liking body horror and slasher stuff either. Out of what I've seen my favorites are Nosferatu (1922), House of Wax (1953), and The Phantom of the Opera (1925).

Nosferatu is easily the most atmospheric and definitely most foreboding film I've seen, really puts you in the setting and mood. House of Wax is slightly let down by some gimmicky early style 3-D, but other than that is a really suspenseful and engaging movie. Unfortunately my copy of The Phantom of the Opera just had a generic classical music loop as the soundtrack that didn't fit with the movie, so I would've probably liked it even better with a better music track, but even still it was pretty suspenseful and Lon Chaney (along with Max Schreck in Nosferatu) is a master of facial expressions.

The Korean ghost story "A Tale of Two Sisters" scared me to death...brrrr...
