The original Korean Oldboy. This film has its share of WTF moments, and although you asked for Hollywood this has to be a honourable mention at the very least.

The actor really did eat the still living squid in the film.

Went out for a meal one night in Korea where they cook it in front of you. There was a wok full of veges and stuff cooking away, and then the waitress came along and threw in a live octopus! Of course, it tried to climb out, so she was pushing all the tentacles back in.

I must have looked horrified, because my Korean friend had a laugh at the look on my face.

Yeah, it tasted really good.Embarrassed

I remember a meal out in the UK with my grandmother who ordered a seafood salad dish. Came with one of this mini-octopus as a centrepiece. Still remember the way she shrieked when it was put in front of her.

Needless to say, dear old gran would not have got on well in Korea and their food.
