Part three of a study on bassists: TRADITIONAL METAL

I chose three bassists, each having great skill with their instrument, and each being in a band that has a rather decent following. So, which of these bassists, from Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, or Dio  is your favorite?

Steve Harris is mine, for obvious reasons.

Harris, no contest - possibly the best bassist ever IMO.

I have to go with Harris too, but I love Geezers playing style too.

Steve Harris easy! Props to Geezer Butler though. He could easily win a "Doom Bassists" poll.

Five years ago I would have said Harris easily.  I'm feeling Geezer these days, so I chose him.  He doesn't play as many notes as Steve Harris, but I like his choices on what he plays better.  Both are good songwriters, with Geezer's contributions being the lyrics to mostly Iommi-penned songs.  Still a very close call that could easily change tomorrow.

Jimmy Bain is solid as well.  For some reason I expected Ian Hill to be the third guy, but I doubt he'd get much in terms of votes.

Umm... Harris. Really no contest here for me, just an awesome bass player.

Much respect to Geezer, but Harris gets my vote here.

Oh yeah, in terms of skill and playing it has to be Harris but I love Butler and he is of course a metal legend!
